Terms
Last updated 20 June 2026
1Who we are and scope
Swissplore (swissplore.ch) is operated by Swissplore (the “Operator”). These Terms govern your use of the website. By using the site, you accept these Terms.
2The service
Swissplore turns official Swiss open data into interactive maps and scores. It is free to use and provided for information and exploration.
3No professional advice
Swissplore is provided for information and exploration only. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind — financial, investment, tax, legal, insurance, structural, engineering, environmental, or safety advice — and must not be relied on as the basis for any decision. In particular:
- Hazard and risk outputs are planning aids, not safety determinations or guarantees of safety.
- Tax, cost, and net-income figures are indicative and may be based on official datasets that are several years old.
- Travel times and reachable areas are estimates from timetable and map data, not a guarantee of service.
Always verify with the responsible authority or a qualified professional before acting.
4Acceptable use
You agree to use Swissplore lawfully and for your own use, and not to:
- scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract the data or maps;
- resell, redistribute, or build a competing dataset from the outputs;
- violate the licences of the underlying data sources, or remove any attribution;
- use the service to mislead about a real property or person.
5Intellectual property and data sources
The site design and code are licensed to you for your own non-commercial use. Underlying data remains under its own licence: Swiss open government data (swisstopo / GeoAdmin, BAFU, BFS, BFE, ARE, MeteoSwiss, SLF, ESTV) and OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL), each attributed on the site. Swissplore is independent and not affiliated with the Swiss Confederation.
6Limitation of liability
The service and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law, the Operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its content — including for slight negligence and for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury, or for unlawful intent or gross negligence.
7Availability
Swissplore is offered without any guarantee of availability, uptime, or continued operation, and may be changed or discontinued at any time.
8Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated; the current version is the one published here, with the date shown above.
9Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the Vienna Sales Convention (CISG). To the extent permitted, the place of jurisdiction is the Operator’s domicile in Switzerland, subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction protecting consumers under their local law.
